Attendance Policy

Regular attendance is required by law. Written excuses are required when students are absent. Notify the school if your child is absent for more than three days, or a social worker may visit your home to determine the reason for the absenteeism. For long term illness/injury, a student may be eligible for Hospital/Homebound services.

An excused absence includes a written reason due to illness, safety, medical need, special approved educational activity, or religious activity. All other reasons shall be considered unexcused.

It is equally as important for students to be in class on time and prepared. Any student not in the classroom when the bell rings at 8:45 will be marked tardy.
